About The Position

Community Health Center of Central Wyoming (CHCCW) is seeking a PRN (as needed basis) Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Quick Care unit in Casper, WY. CHCCW's mission is to provide affordable, high-quality patient care and a comprehensive range of health services to residents of Central Wyoming, regardless of income, treating all patients with compassion, dignity, and respect. The Quick Care urgent care in Casper provides high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals of all ages in a fast-paced clinical environment, Monday through Saturday, from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM. This position works less than 20 hours/week and treats non-life-threatening conditions with shorter wait times and less cost than an emergency room visit. Laboratory, X-Ray, and Pharmacy services are available on-site. The role involves evaluating, diagnosing, and treating acute illnesses and injuries while collaborating with physicians, nursing staff, and support personnel to ensure exceptional patient care and service excellence. Work is performed in a typical outpatient clinic environment and periodically at locations outside the office. Some travel may be required to other rural health clinics throughout central Wyoming. The role requires sensitivity to the needs of special populations, including but not limited to, those defined by race, ethnicity, language, age, sex, sexual orientation, economic standing, and disabilities.

Requirements

  • Graduate of a recognized and accredited training program for Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants
  • Licensure by the State of Wyoming and by the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA)
  • Competency in clinic skills necessary to perform a range of primary care services
  • Ability to work and interact effectively and positively with other staff members to build and enhance teamwork throughout the clinic setting
  • Successful completion of substance abuse testing as a condition of employment

  • Previous work in an Urgent Care setting is preferred
