About The Position

Hutchinson Health is looking for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Urgent Care team. This is an on-call/casual 0.0 FTE position supporting the Hutchinson Health Urgent Care Department. Hutchinson Health is part of HealthPartners, a large health care organization spanning Minnesota and western Wisconsin. The HealthPartners care system includes a multi-specialty group practice that serves more than 1.2 million patients. The position requires a current unrestricted medical license as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant. Three to five years of relevant experience is preferred. Requirements

  • A current unrestricted medical license as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.

Nice To Haves

  • Three to five years of relevant experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures the plan of care for the pediatric, adult and geriatric patient populations reflect: An understanding and ability to obtain information/perform assessment and react effectively to the unique needs of these patients.
  • Assessment information that reflects physical, psychosocial, developmental and cognitive data specific to the age of the patient; and an understanding of the range of treatment needed by these patients.
  • Provides urgent and acute care efficiently and accurately
  • Provides ongoing patient education and counseling
  • Treats acute care/chronic problems efficiently and accurately resulting in patient satisfaction
  • Provides timely chart documentation that is accurate and thorough.
  • Orders labs, x-rays, and diagnostic tests to facilitate the correct diagnosis in a cost-efficient manner.
  • Determines when a patient’s problem is serious enough to transfer patient to a higher level of care.
  • Participate in community health programs which promote wellness and health education
  • Utilizes appropriate sourcing of supervising physician for clinical decision-making support.
  • Performs all other related duties as assigned.
