Requirements

  • Active unrestricted APRN or PA License in Colorado, or ability to obtain prior to employment
  • Prescribing authority or ability to obtain prior to employment
  • DEA license or ability to obtain prior to employment

Nice To Haves

  • 1+ years of experience as a NP or PA in an outpatient primary care setting

Responsibilities

  • Optum clinic Locations: Northwest Denver Metro (Potential sites in Evergreen, Golden, Arvada, Broomfield areas). This includes longer term assignments at one clinic (months) and flexibility to include shorter term assignments as other clinics need (days or weeks)
  • Future potential placement at single permanent location as need develops
  • Schedule: Monday – Friday
  • Covers PTO, LOA, vacancies, and CMEs
  • Manage patient care in outpatient setting
  • Comfortable seeing patients of all ages; primarily adults/senior base
  • Average Daily Patient Census: 18-20 patients
  • Complete timely and thorough documentation
  • Formulate diagnostic and treatment plans
  • Prescribe and administer medications, therapies, and procedures
  • Order lab and imaging tests to determine and manage an immediate treatment plan and provide advice on follow up
  • Responsible for the coordination of care with specialists and appropriate ancillary services
  • Maintain quality of care standards as defined by the practice
