About The Position

Allina Health Minneapolis Heart Institute is seeking a general Cardiology Advanced Practice Provider to join its practice based in Baxter and Crosby, Minnesota. The role provides cardiology care in a typical clinic setting, working four days per week in 8-hour shifts, with no weekend, holiday, or on-call rotation. Strong cardiology experience is preferred. Requirements

• Master’s degree and completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
• For Nurse Practitioner candidates, an active Minnesota Registered Nurse license is required upon hire.
• Physician Assistant certification through NCCPA, or Nurse Practitioner certification through ANCC or AANP, is required upon hire.
• Active Minnesota and Wisconsin NP/PA licenses, or the ability to obtain them.
• BLS certification within 180 days of hire.
• Ability to obtain and/or maintain Minnesota DEA certification and a National Provider Identifier (NPI).
• Ability to meet credentialing and hospital privilege criteria.

Nice To Haves

• Strong cardiology experience is preferred.
• New graduates may be considered with at least 2 years of experience in cardiology or ICU.

Responsibilities

• Complete comprehensive patient assessments.
• Determine diagnoses and treatment plans for illnesses.
• Order and interpret medical diagnostics in tandem with the attending physician.
• Prescribe medications, treatments, therapy, and medical equipment.
• Educate patients about managing chronic illness and wellness care.
