About The Position

MyMichigan Health has an excellent opportunity for a motivated Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join the growing Trauma and General Surgery Team in Saginaw, Michigan! This is a full-time, day shift position with a 7 days on, 7 days off schedule.

Requirements

• Graduate of accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Program
• AHA approved BLS Certification
• AHA approved ACLS Certification
• ATLS Certification required prior to completion of orientation

Nice To Haves

• One year of experience with surgical specialties preferred, new grads will be considered

Responsibilities

• Respond to trauma activations and perform admissions and consults for the trauma and general surgery team, as well as interpretation/treatment of testing and daily rounding
• First call for ER consults, activations and nursing questions
• Bedside procedures including chest tubes, arterial lines, central lines, laceration repair
• Variety of patient care, including ICU management, step down and general floor level patients
• Mostly inpatient, with occasional clinic.
