About The Position

This is a full-time float position for Primary Care, serving the communities of Steelville, Cuba, Sullivan, and Bourbon. The role focuses on Family Medicine, specifically for an FNP or PA. This is an out-patient only position. Missouri Baptist Sullivan Hospital is a critical access hospital dedicated to providing quality healthcare services to residents in Crawford, Franklin, and Washington counties. The hospital offers a wide range of services including an emergency department, childbirth center, critical care unit, surgical suite, cardiac rehab, and a cancer center. It also operates four rural health clinics, a Therapy and Rehabilitation department, and a Wound Care Center. The Sullivan medical clinic is a well-established group providing family, internal, and OB care.

Requirements

• Master's Degree in Nursing
• Less than 2 years of experience
• No supervisor experience
• Nurse Practitioner License
• RN License

• Doctorate in Nursing
• 2-5 years of experience

Responsibilities

• Participates in professional development
• Manages the health care of patient populations with compassion through advanced health assessment, diagnosis, intervention, and evaluation in a collaborative practice agreement with a physician. Prescriptive responsibilities are reviewed by collaborative physician.
• Coordinates the care of patient populations, in a collaborative practice agreement with a physician, to ensure promotion of health and wellness through education of patients and families, coordination of services and placing referrals.
• Assesses development needs of staff and develops and delivers appropriate educational programs to meet staff needs.
• Develops treatment plans, treats patients with acute problems including illnesses and minor injuries following a predetermined protocol in a collaborative practice agreement with a physician.
• The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is an essential function of this job.
