About The Position
Sutter Medical Group BEAR (Bridging Evidence Assessment and Resources) Program seeks to hire a per diem Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our dynamic team in Sacramento, CA. The Bridging Evidence Assessment and Resources (BEAR) program is growing their elite team of highly trained forensic examiners to deliver 24/7/365 medical and forensic care to adults, adolescents, and pediatric patients who have experienced sexual assault, sexual abuse, or intimate partner violence and strangulation.
Requirements
- Critical thinking skills
- Decisive judgment
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Experience in areas requiring advanced physical assessment skills such as the emergency department, critical care and/or maternal/child health
- Nationally Certified
- Eligible for a California License
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience as a medical-forensic examiner
- Completion of a Sexual Assault Forensic Examiner Training course
Responsibilities
- Deliver 24/7/365 medical and forensic care to adults, adolescents, and pediatric patients who have experienced sexual assault, sexual abuse, or intimate partner violence and strangulation.
- Provide excellence through rigorous quality assurance/improvement and training activities.
- Serve as the medical component of the Sexual Assault Response Team.
