About The Position
Wellstar Medical Group is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join their new Austell Pediatrics practice in Austell, Georgia. This role involves establishing and growing a new pediatric practice, providing comprehensive primary care to infants, children, and adolescents in a welcoming, family-centered environment. The APP will collaborate with experienced pediatricians, nursing staff, and care teams to deliver exceptional pediatric care and promote community health. The position is based in a brand new, child-friendly facility with state-of-the-art technology and offers the opportunity to build lasting relationships with patients and families. The practice utilizes Epic electronic medical record (EMR) and is conveniently located near the Atlanta metropolitan area.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
- Current Georgia APRN or PA license (or eligibility for Georgia licensure)
- National certification as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP), or Physician Assistant (PA-C)
- Current DEA registration (or eligibility)
- BLS certification

Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive pediatric primary care for newborns, infants, children, and adolescents
- Perform well-child visits, preventive care, and routine physical examinations
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic pediatric conditions
- Provide patient and family education regarding health promotion, disease prevention, and treatment plans
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests as appropriate
- Collaborate closely with pediatric physicians and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate high-quality patient care
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Epic EMR
