About The Position
Wellstar Medical Group is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join their new Austell Pediatrics practice in Austell, Georgia. This role involves establishing and growing a new pediatric practice while providing comprehensive primary care to infants, children, and adolescents in a welcoming, family-centered environment. The APP will work collaboratively with experienced pediatricians, nursing staff, and care teams to deliver exceptional pediatric care and promote community health. The practice is described as state-of-the-art and child-friendly, with convenient access to the Atlanta metropolitan area. The position utilizes the Epic electronic medical record (EMR).
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
- Current Georgia APRN or PA license (or eligibility for Georgia licensure)
- National certification as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP), or Physician Assistant (PA-C)
- Current DEA registration (or eligibility)
- BLS certification

Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive pediatric primary care for newborns, infants, children, and adolescents
- Perform well-child visits, preventive care, and routine physical examinations
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic pediatric conditions
- Provide patient and family education regarding health promotion, disease prevention, and treatment plans
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests as appropriate
- Collaborate closely with pediatric physicians and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate high-quality patient care
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Epic EMR
