Requirements

  • Washington State Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant license
  • DEA, NPI & prescriptive authority
  • Current BLS for Healthcare Providers certification by the American Heart Association
  • Licensure to practice in Washington State.

Nice To Haves

  • 2 years of experience as a licensed ARNP/PA in pediatric health care preferred
  • Experience in Pediatric Urology preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Sees patients independently in the ambulatory care setting: Conduct physical exams and provide individual care plans for patients. Conduct diagnostic assessment, including ordering imaging and other diagnostic studies.
  • Assist in the operating room in both an inpatient and ambulatory surgery center setting.
  • Collaborate with Mary Bridge Inpatient Provider Services to manage patients admitted Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital.
  • Support Mary Bridge Emergency Department call and emergency surgeries.
  • Support outpatient clinic call by accommodating urgent work ins during the day.
  • Interpret lab and test results and provide clinical recommendations and supportive guidance.
  • Independently perform in office minor surgical procedures.
  • Educate patients on disease process and treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nursing, and other members of the multidisciplinary team.
  • Manage patients’ treatment as well as medication management.
  • Stay up to date on advancements in relevant specialties.
  • Partner with the local, state and national programs as necessary.
  • Participate in specialized treatment plans and specialized clinics.
