About The Position

This job is an integral part of the care delivery system working together to provide a healing environment, by placing our customers first. The incumbent provides primary healthcare services for non-acute or chronic health conditions in specific populations in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies, values, and mission of the organization within the CRNP scope of practice. Work is performed in a physician office or offices dedicated to Pediatrics, weekend, and on-call coverage on a rotational basis, as required. This position is hybrid, work from home and office. Virtual urgent care, predominantly evening work from home telehealth, with weekend hours. One day per week in the office.

Requirements

  • Master's degree MSN from the practicing State Board of Nursing Approved Master's Program
  • National Board Certification for Nurse Practitioners through an accredited association
  • Practicing-state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner
  • Prescriptive Authority from the practicing state within 60 days of hire
  • CPR– American Heart Association
  • PALS certification within 90 days of hire
  • Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
  • Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate
  • Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
  • Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies
  • Current PA Physician Assistant License
  • PA-C or board eligible.
  • Ongoing successful recertification (NCCPA) as a PA-C
  • Within 90 days of hire Drug Enforcement Agency Licensure
  • Within 60 days of hire CPR - American Heart Association
  • Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate

Responsibilities

  • Provides appropriate pediatric patient care to include recording patient medical history and physical assessment, developing therapeutic care plan, ordering lab and diagnostic tests, interpreting test results, and providing accurate medical record documentation.
  • Establishes presumptive diagnosis as defined in the written agreement between the CRNP and the supervising physician(s).
  • Communicates and coordinates patient care with patient, family, community health services and interdisciplinary team. Involves attending physician regarding plan of care and involves physician in clinical decision making of any issues that are outside the CRNP knowledge base or scope of practice.
  • Provides monitoring and continuity of care and coordinates periodic evaluation by physicians as defined in the written agreement between the CRNP and the supervising physician(s).
  • Prepares written prescription orders for drugs as defined in the written agreement between the CRNP and the supervising physician(s).
  • Educates patients and family members regarding health and illness prevention, medication and treatment instructions, and recommends community resources as needed. Serves as clinical expert and acts as a clinical resource.
  • Triages pediatric patient telephone calls, provides monitoring and continuity of care.
  • Participates in, develops, and implements performance and/or quality improvement initiatives. Ensures compliance with all regulatory agencies.
  • Perform other duties such as manage outpatient concerns and any other duty specific to specialty.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or required.
