About The Position

Provide Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (NP/PA) support to a dynamic Neurosurgical practice located in Eau Claire, WI. Practice areas include time in the Operating Room, Hospital and Clinic settings. The ideal candidate must be comfortable working in all of these areas. Currently the group consists of 5 surgeons and 4 Advance Practice Providers. Subspecialties/service lines: spine, cranial conditions, and traumatic neurological injuries. During the selection process you may participate in an OnDemand (pre-recorded) interview that you can complete at your convenience. During the OnDemand interview, a question will appear on your screen, and you will have time to consider each question before responding. You will have the opportunity to re-record your answer to each question – Mayo Clinic will only see the final recording. The complete interview will be reviewed by a Mayo Clinic staff member and you will be notified of next steps.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of NPPA experience in Neurosurgery required.
  • New Grads will not be considered at this time.
  • Nurse Practitioner: Masters-prepared graduate of an accredited school of nursing and Nurse Practitioner program.
  • Current Wisconsin RN and APRN license and certification as an FNP, ANP, or ACNP.
  • Physician Assistant: Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program with current PA certification by NCCPA and registration as a PA by the Wisconsin State Board of Medical Practice.
  • Active BLS certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross at start date.
  • DEA registration required.

Nice To Haves

  • ACLS certification recommended.
  • RN First Assist certification recommended.
