Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant II - Pulmonary
About The Position
The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant performs various tasks in an authorized setting, such as a clinic or hospital. This role at Mayo Clinic involves obtaining patient history, performing physical examinations, conducting outpatient consultations, ordering and performing diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures, formulating diagnostic impressions, developing and implementing treatment plans, monitoring the effectiveness of therapeutic interventions, offering counseling and education, making appropriate referrals, and prescribing and dispensing prescription medication in accordance with FL state laws and department policies. The role also requires assessing data reflective of patient status and interpreting information relative to age-specific needs, assisting with departmental process improvement and policy development, and participating in other departmental or institutional committee assignments as needed.
Requirements
- Must be a licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the authorized setting.
- Must be able to prescribe and dispense prescription medication in accordance with FL state laws and department policies.
- Ability to assess data reflective of patient's status and appropriately interprets information relative to patient's age-specific needs.
