About The Position

The Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant performs patient care in various authorized settings, including clinics, hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers, nursing homes, or the patient's home. This role involves obtaining patient history, performing physical examinations, ordering and performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, formulating diagnostic impressions, developing and implementing treatment plans, monitoring the effectiveness of interventions, providing counseling and education, making appropriate referrals, and prescribing and dispensing prescription medication. The practitioner must demonstrate the ability to assess patient data and interpret information relative to age-specific needs.
