About The Position

Sutter North Medical Group (SNMG) seeks to hire a BE/BC Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to support a collaborative Gastroenterology practice in Yuba City, CA.
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our Gastroenterology (GI) team. This provider will work collaboratively with board-certified Gastroenterologists to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care across the continuum of gastrointestinal health. This role offers a strong mix of autonomy and physician support within a collegial, team-based environment.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
• Active (or ability to obtain) CA NP or PA license
• Board certification (AANP, ANCC, or NCCPA)
• Excellent clinical judgment, communication skills, and teamwork mindset

Nice To Haves

• GI experience preferred, but motivated candidates with strong internal medicine or specialty backgrounds will be considered

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with a wide range of gastrointestinal conditions
• Conduct outpatient clinic visits including new consults, follow-ups, and post-procedure care
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests (labs, imaging, endoscopy reports)
• Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with GI physicians
• Provide patient education on diagnoses, procedures, medications, and lifestyle modifications
• Participate in care coordination with primary care providers and specialists
• Document clinical encounters accurately and timely in Epic
