Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant - Gastroenterology
About The Position
The new gastroenterology physician assistant or nurse practitioner will work in a collaborative environment with an integrated care team of physicians, advanced practice providers, RNs, LPNs, medical assistants, and non-clinical support staff. The clinical team currently consists of four (4) gastroenterologist physicians and two (2) gastroenterology advanced practice providers. Providers are supported by highly-trained clinical assistants and on-site management in comfortable, modern settings. This includes scribes and staff to perform administrative tasks, ensuring providers are able to focus solely on patient care. Providers see a variable (and always manageable) number of patients per day, based upon needs and types of appointments scheduled. The office boasts a robust list of services, ensuring they’re able to effectively treat all gastroenterology conditions and needs. The office uses the AthenaHealth EHR.
Requirements
- New York NP or PA license
- board certification (PA-C, FNP, etc.)
- DEA
Nice To Haves
- 1+ year advanced practice experience strongly preferred
- previous RN or similar gastroenterology experience may be considered
Responsibilities
- provide routine outpatient gastroenterology care
