The NP/PA will conduct comprehensive assessments, diagnoses, order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and provide patient education. They will also perform procedures such as laceration repair, I&D, lumbar puncture, intubation, non-invasive airway management, fracture reductions, procedural sedation, and critical care management, with opportunities for solo practice at critical access hospitals. The schedule involves quarterly shifts ranging from 8 to 13 hours, totaling 455 clinical hours per quarter, with a rotation of approximately one weekend per month (days/night or power shift).
