The Oncology Infusion Department at Brigham and Women's Hospital is seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join their team. This role involves serving as an infusion first responder, promoting access and efficiency within the adult Oncology and Medical Infusion Center(s). The NP will provide urgent care and symptom management in close collaboration with longitudinal medicine providers. The work location may include the Main Campus Boston, 850 Boylston in Chestnut Hill, and other off-site locations, determined by clinical staffing needs. The NP will work closely with oncology primary teams to care for patients with complex diagnoses, acting as a first responder for acute reactions and medical emergencies. They will collaborate with oncology, medical teams, and nursing staff for continuity of care, and provide consultation to maintain and improve infusion service access. The NP will write, modify, and amend orders according to guidelines, practice according to state and hospital regulations, and serve on committees. They will collaborate with various professionals to meet educational needs, monitor patient outcomes, facilitate patient movement, and support educational efforts. The NP is responsible for evaluating their own practice, professional growth, and maintaining credentials and educational requirements specific to the position and licensure.
