The OB-ED Advanced Practice Provider (APP) plays a critical role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care within Erlanger’s Obstetric Emergency Department. This position is designed for experienced providers who thrive in a fast-paced environment and are passionate about maternal and fetal health. This role offers a balanced work-life rhythm with hours from 7:00am-7:00pm or 7:00pm-7:00am. Shifts typically include both day and night coverage, with specific schedule to be discussed during the interview. The Advance Practice Provider will provide comprehensive evaluation and management of patients presenting to the OB-ED. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Perform assessments, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and initiate appropriate treatment plans. Support labor and delivery triage and manage obstetric emergencies as needed. Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to all clinical protocols and safety standards. This position is involved in a team-based approach to care. Team members are trained to meet the highest level of function for their role as per the State of Tennessee/Georgia guidelines. Is trained and assigned (as per their role and responsibilities) to coordinate care for patients and is trained and assigned to support patients/families/caregivers in self-management, self-efficacy and behavior change. Is trained and assigned (as per their role and responsibilities) to manage the practices' patient population. Participates in the practice's quality improvement process and performance evaluation.
