About The Position

The Nurse Practitioner for the Gastroenterology & Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) Service is responsible for managing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care as part of the multidisciplinary IBD team. You will direct and coordinate the delivery of high-quality patient care for individuals with complex gastrointestinal disorders, including Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis, and related inflammatory bowel conditions. Working collaboratively with gastroenterologists, nurses, and ancillary staff, you will help provide comprehensive, evidence-based care focused on improving outcomes and quality of life for patients. This is a full-time day shift position located at NYP/Brooklyn Methodist Hospital.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Nursing
  • Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience
  • New York State Registered Nurse License and Adult, Acute Care, or Family Nurse Practitioner License
  • Board Certification from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC)
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) from the American Heart Association
  • Must live within a commutable distance to NYP.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous RN or NP experience in Gastroenterology and/or Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) preferred
  • Experience managing patients with Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis, biologic therapies, and complex GI conditions preferred
  • Outpatient specialty practice experience preferred
