About The Position

They are expanding their services and are looking for a compassionate and experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) with a neurology background to provide high-quality care to patients in long-term care facilities in New York City. Requirements
- Licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) in New York State.
- Minimum 1-2 years of NP experience (geriatrics or neurology a plus).
- Strong clinical judgment and the ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Nice To Haves
- Board Certification in Neurology or experience in neurology preferred.
- Experience in long-term care or nursing home settings preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide neurological evaluations and follow-up care for nursing home residents.
- Diagnose and manage conditions such as stroke recovery, Parkinson’s disease, dementia, neuropathy, and other neurological disorders.
- Collaborate with nursing home staff, families, and interdisciplinary teams to create comprehensive care plans.
- Document all patient encounters and maintain compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Educate patients, caregivers, and facility staff on neurological conditions and treatments.
