Nurse Practitioner - Nephrology - NYP/Hudson Valley Medical Group
About The Position
The Nurse Practitioner manages care for Nephrology patients in accordance with mutually agreed-upon protocols and the policies and procedures established by the Department of Nursing, the American Nurses Association, and NewYork-Presbyterian Medical Group. The role provides quality, comprehensive care, services, and follow-up to patients; supports physicians in the Nephrology department; and collaborates with members of the healthcare team. The position includes rounding at inpatient locations and dialysis centers. This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week position, Monday through Friday, at the Hudson Valley Medical Group. Hours may vary between 7:30 a.m.–3:30 p.m. and 8:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. The role requires on-site presence, and employees should live within commuting distance of NewYork-Presbyterian.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Master's degree in Advanced Practice in the area of specialty.
- Current New York State RN license.
- Current New York State NP license in the area of specialty.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA).
Nice To Haves
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team.
- Two or more years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner.
- National certification as a Nurse Practitioner in the area of specialty.
