About The Position

This position will provide comprehensive clinical and health-related services for the Allegany County Health Department (ACHD), primarily within the Reproductive Health, Medication for Opioid Use Disorder (MOUD), Medication for Alcohol Use Disorder (MAUD), and Adolescent Department of Juvenile Services (DJS) programs. Cross-training and service delivery may also occur within Tuberculosis (TB), Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP), Outreach Services (HEAL Mobile Unit), and the Massie Inpatient Addictions Program.

Requirements

Current certificate as a Nurse Practitioner or as a Nurse Midwife from the Maryland State Board of Nursing.
One year of experience as a Nurse Practitioner or as a Nurse Midwife.
Possess a motor vehicle operator’s license valid in the State of Maryland (if assigned duties requiring vehicle operation).
Provide a telephone number at which they can be reached (may be subject to call).

Nice To Haves

Experience in women's reproductive mental health including diagnosing and treating STIs.
Experience in addiction medicine, specifically Opioid and alcohol use disorders.
Experience caring for adolescents.
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Strong communication, assessment, and clinical decision-making skills.

Responsibilities
