About The Position

This part-time contractual Nurse Practitioner II position will provide primary medical service to the patients of the Thomas B. Finan Center and its residents of the Assisted Living Program. This position will perform admission history, physical or order admission labs. The Thomas B. Finan Center is an inpatient psychiatric hospital located in Cumberland, Maryland. It is owned and managed by the state of Maryland. This state psychiatric facility operates 88 beds and provides services to persons who are 18 years of age and older.

Requirements

• Possess a current certificate as a Nurse Practitioner or as a Nurse Midwife from the Maryland State Board of Nursing.
• One year of experience as a Nurse Practitioner or as a Nurse-Midwife.
• Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer in Nurse Practitioner or Nurse Midwife classification or Nurse Practitioner or Nurse Midwife specialty codes in the Nursing field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.
• Employees assigned duties which require the operation of a motor vehicle will be required to possess a motor vehicle operator’s license valid in the State of Maryland.
• Employees in this classification may be subject to call and, therefore, may be required to provide the agency with a telephone number at which they can be reached.
