About The Position
The main purpose of this position is to provide primary care services for patients at the Charles County Department of Health School-Based Health Center (SBHC). This includes, but is not limited to: school entry/sports physicals, annual well-child exams, acute and chronic illness diagnosis and case management, health education and prevention services, medication and treatment administration, diagnostic testing, vaccine administration, and family care as appropriate.
Requirements
- Current certificate as a Nurse Practitioner or as a Nurse Midwife from the Maryland State Board of Nursing.
- One year of experience as a Nurse Practitioner or as a Nurse Midwife.
- Possess a motor vehicle operator’s license valid in the State of Maryland (if assigned duties requiring vehicle operation).
- Provide the agency with a telephone number at which they can be reached (may be subject to call).
Nice To Haves
- U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer in Nurse Practitioner or Nurse Midwife classification or Nurse Practitioner or Nurse Midwife specialty codes in the Nursing field of work may be substituted for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.
