Our Nurse Practitioner is responsible and accountable for the application of the nursing process, consultative services, inter and intradepartmental liaison, education, leadership and patient care management across the health care continuum including preventative care, acute care through discharge, and ambulatory care environments. Our Nurse Practitioner's practice incorporates both independent decision-making abilities and collaboration with the board certified/eligible physician to provide expert care to the patients. This role enhances competency skills through continuing education programs. This role has the ability to provide care to special patient population and those with diverse cultural background. The Nurse Practitioner is responsible to the physician partners and/or supervising physician and the Director of Clinical Operations/designee and functions as an integral part of the medical team. Our Nurse Practitioner practices under the Board of Registered Nursing California code of regulations, Title 16, Article 8, Section 1480-1485, utilizing the Nurse Practitioner Standardized Procedures. These are developed in a collaborative effort within the area of specialty incorporating Cedars-Sinai Medical Network goals and represent an interdisciplinary approach to patient care delivery.
