Nurse Practitioner - Medical Oncology - Queens Medical Group
About The Position
Join NewYork-Presbyterian Medical Group Queens, part of the NewYork-Presbyterian healthcare network, a leading academic healthcare system. Many of our physicians are also faculty at Weill Cornell Medicine. This role involves providing health care to oncology patients in collaboration with physicians, delivering care within medical divisions according to established protocols and agreements. The Nurse Practitioner will operate within the policies and procedures of the Division of Nursing, the service department, and NewYork Presbyterian Queens Medical Group. This is a full-time position with a 4-day work schedule, located at 56-45 Main Street, Flushing, NY.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing; Master's Degree as a Nurse Practitioner.
- Current New York State License as Nurse Practitioner.
- Current New York State RN license.
- Certification as a Nurse Practitioner from a New York State approved accrediting body – American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).
- BLS Certification from the American Heart Association.
Nice To Haves
- Minimum of 2 years' NP/RN experience in oncology.
- Bilingual in Korean, Spanish, Mandarin, or Cantonese.
Responsibilities
- Provides health care to oncology patients in collaboration with physicians.
- Delivers care within the medical divisions, in accordance with the agreed upon Practice Protocols and Nurse Practitioner Clinical Practice Agreement.
- Acts within the policies and procedures established by the Division of Nursing, service department, and NewYork Presbyterian Queens Medical Group.
