Requirements

  • Master’s degree in nursing from an accredited nursing school.
  • Current unrestricted board certification to practice as an Advanced Practice Nurse in the State where you practice.
  • May substitute a degree from an Accredited Physician Assistant school with an active, unrestricted license.
  • Must have a current BLS certification.
  • 2 years of experience as an NP in a clinical setting required or 3+ years as a Registered Nurse with oncology, ER, ICU, and/or infusion center experience and 1-2 years of experience managing other employees.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership to the IC staff including: manage the clinic staffing plan, conduct interviews with candidates, make selection recommendations, set objectives and goals for staff, implement a site training and communication plan and provide on-going feedback and training to staff.
  • Review employee performance through performance evaluations and competencies.
  • Approve time cards, PTO and other personnel administrative duties.
  • Provide patient and family centered IV infusion care.
  • Facilitate consistent, coordinated care and clear communication among all members of the healthcare team.
  • Incorporate the patient and family in infusion care.
  • Serve as an advocate for patients and families.
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with physicians, health professionals, health related agencies, patients and families.
  • Work effectively with multidisciplinary team members.
  • Promote mutual respect and trust working within a team model.
  • Review, update and recommend relevant clinical, administrative policies, procedures and education to help assure high quality patient care.
