About The Position

This is a part-time position for a Nurse Practitioner specializing in Wound Care and Foot Care, serving long-term care facilities in the Marshall, TX area. The role involves assessing and treating wounds and foot conditions, developing care plans, performing procedures, monitoring patient progress, and educating patients and staff. The Nurse Practitioner will also be responsible for coordinating care with other healthcare professionals, maintaining documentation, and traveling to designated facilities.

Requirements

• Master’s or doctoral degree in nursing from an accredited program.
• Current Nurse Practitioner license valid for practice in Louisiana.
• Strong clinical assessment and treatment skills related to wounds and foot conditions.
• Ability to work independently, stay organized, and manage responsibilities across multiple facilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess wounds and foot conditions and develop individualized care plans.
• Perform wound debridement, dressing changes, and other appropriate wound-care procedures.
• Monitor wound healing, foot health, and patient progress.
• Support pain management related to wounds and promote patient comfort.
• Educate patients and facility staff on wound care, prevention, and foot-care practices.
• Communicate with facility staff, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care.
• Maintain accurate and current clinical documentation.
• Travel to designated long-term care facilities in the assigned area.
