About The Position

The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) works as a member of the health care team under supervision of a physician. This role involves conducting comprehensive health assessments, developing treatment plans, prescribing medications, and providing patient education. The APP is responsible for maintaining accurate medical documentation, ensuring compliance with healthcare standards, and participating in quality improvement initiatives to support a positive patient experience.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree required.
Advanced Practice Provider (APP) who has completed the necessary education for certification and unrestricted licensure as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner required.
Knowledge of healthcare delivery models, quality standards, infection control, and regulatory compliance.
Strong clinical reasoning and diagnostic skills.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) and standard business software.
Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Sound clinical judgment and professional decision-making.
Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and exercise discretion.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment.

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive, problem-focused health assessments including medical history, physical examination, and appropriate diagnostic testing.
Order, perform, and interpret laboratory and diagnostic studies as clinically indicated.
Develop and implement treatment plans based on clinical findings and evidence-based guidelines.
Consult and collaborate with supervising or collaborating physicians regarding abnormal findings, complex conditions, or cases outside scope of practice.
Prescribe and administer medications, injections, and immunizations in accordance with state regulations and organizational protocols.
Provide referrals to specialists or additional services as appropriate.
Deliver patient and family education related to diagnosis, treatment, disease prevention, wellness, and lifestyle modification.
Maintain accurate, timely, and complete medical documentation in the Electronic Health Record (EHR), including appropriate coding and billing support.
Ensure compliance with infection control standards, quality metrics, and regulatory requirements.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and interdisciplinary care coordination.
Support a positive patient experience through professional communication, responsiveness, and compassionate care.
