About The Position

The organization is seeking an experienced Endocrinology Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join its growing team in Shelton, Connecticut on a full-time, permanent basis. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in Endocrinology and will work closely with endocrinologists and other members of the care team to provide comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management of patients with endocrine and metabolic disorders.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree or higher from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
  • Current national certification as an NP or PA.
  • Active Connecticut APRN or PA license, or eligibility for Connecticut licensure.
  • Prior Endocrinology experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with a broad range of endocrine and metabolic conditions.
  • Obtain comprehensive patient histories and perform physical examinations.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with endocrinologists and other providers.
  • Manage common endocrine conditions, including diabetes, thyroid disorders, osteoporosis, obesity, adrenal disorders, and other metabolic conditions.
  • Provide medication management and monitor treatment response and potential adverse effects.
  • Review and interpret laboratory results, diagnostic studies, and other relevant clinical information.
  • Provide ongoing follow-up care and monitor patients' clinical progress.
  • Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, medications, treatment plans, nutrition, lifestyle modifications, and disease management.
  • Coordinate care with primary care physicians, endocrinologists, nurses, dietitians, and other specialists.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based clinical practices.
  • Provide compassionate, patient-centered care while maintaining high standards of clinical quality and safety.
