About The Position

Hendricks Community Hospital Association is seeking a qualified individual to join our team as a Nurse Practitioner specializing in Dermatology. This role involves conducting comprehensive skin exams, diagnosing and treating various skin conditions, prescribing medications, and developing patient care plans. The Nurse Practitioner will also educate patients on skin care and preventative measures, collaborate with physicians and other health professionals, and maintain accurate patient documentation. The position requires adherence to the MN Nurse Practice Act and OSHA regulations, and may involve participation in organization committees.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program and Master’s degree required with specialization in dermatology.
  • Current licensure to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in the state of Minnesota.
  • Maintain continuing education requirements to keep up-to-date with changes in the field.
  • Commitment to healthcare and concern for customers and patients.
  • Knowledge of medical procedures and terminology.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills with attentiveness to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal/human relations skills with ability to respond to questions in a tactful and professional manner.
  • Good communication skills, both written and oral, to effectively communicate with all levels of staff, the physicians, customers, patients, and the general public.
  • Analytical skills and the ability to analyze and evaluate problems.
  • Ability to implement and interpret policies and procedures.
  • Ability to use common sense and be a fair judge of character.
  • Spirit of cooperation and teamwork.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive skin exams.
  • Diagnose and treat a variety of skin conditions.
  • Prescribe medications and topical treatments.
  • Develop and manager patient care plans.
  • Educate patients on skin care and preventative measures.
  • Collaborates with physicians and other health professionals as needed.
  • Documents legibly and succinctly all patient care provided.
  • As appropriate, delegates to and directs nursing and non-professional health personnel in the delivery of patient care.
  • Works collaboratively with other health care professionals and agencies to provide, and where appropriate, coordinates services to individuals, families, and groups.
  • Practices under the rules and regulations of the MN Nurse Practice Act.
  • Coordinates work flow with other team members to ensure a productive and efficient environment.
  • May be involved on organization committees.
  • Required to comply with all applicable laws, regulations and standards associated with but not limited to OSHA.
