BFT NURSE PRACTITONER COMMUNITY CARE VANS

Mass General BrighamSomerville, MA
Onsite

About The Position

Bulfinch Temps is hiring a temporary Nurse Practitioner (NP) to cover a maternity leave for the BWH Community Care Vans. This role requires availability for weekends and some evenings, with a weekly commitment of 24-40 hours. The position is temporary and does not include benefits. The NP will provide patient-centered services, including cardiometabolic-focused visits, colorectal cancer screening, substance use disorder screening and care, vaccinations, and screening for social determinants of health. The NP will deliver direct clinical care during mobile clinic sessions, support clinic operations, and coordinate with on-site staff. Due to the nature of community-based clinics without immediate on-site clinical backup, the NP must practice with a high degree of independence and clinical judgment, capable of managing complex presentations and urgent/emergent situations for patients across the lifespan. Clinics are frequently held in the evenings and on weekends in various Boston neighborhoods, with occasional clinics in other communities like Chelsea and Lynn. The NP may also be involved in follow-up calls to patients for blood pressure management.
