About The Position

The Nurse Practitioner (NP) is a foundational member of a high performing integrated healthcare team, reporting to the Chief Medical Officer (CMO). This full-time role is responsible for managing health problems and coordinating high-quality primary medical care in partnership and collaboration with Honor Community Health's integrated practice team. The NP will support the mission of delivering comprehensive integrated care to vulnerable populations of Oakland County in accordance with State and Federal rules and regulations and the nursing standards of care. The NP will work collaboratively to create and maintain a culture of excellence and dedication to providing compassionate and high-quality health care to all. This position is for our school-based program, with site-specific start times between 7:00 am - 7:30 am and a minimum 8-hour shift. On-call duties are per the on-call schedule.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
  • Current Nurse Practitioner certification in the Family or Pediatric specialty area.
  • Current and valid license to practice medicine issued by the State of Michigan.
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications through the American Heart Association, only.
  • Board certified at hire and expected to maintain appropriate board certification, licensure, and membership in professional organizations.
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain credentials as a Medicaid and Medicare provider.
  • 1+ years of progressive experience as a Nurse Practitioner.
  • Experience with CPT and ICD coding.
  • Knowledge of and experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
  • A compassionate and positive attitude.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to create an excellent patient experience.
  • Patient focused mindset.
  • Willingness to work between other locations when needed.
  • Must submit to a criminal record check and reference check.
