About The Position

This position is for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the Cardiothoracic ICU at Lankenau Medical Center. The role involves performing acts of medical diagnosis and prescription of medical therapeutic or corrective measures in collaboration with attending physicians and residents. The Nurse Practitioner will lead quality and evidence-based care initiatives to achieve optimal patient outcomes, enhance quality patient care, and amplify communication between the physician, family members, and the health care team.

Requirements

• Completion of a Nurse Practitioner program required
• MSN required
• Licensed by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nurse Examiners as a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP)
• BLS certification required
• Successful completion of the MLH credentialing process through the Medical Staff office, with temporary or permanent privileges approved

Nice To Haves

• 2 years Nurse Practitioner experience in Acute Care preferred.
• A minimum of 2 years nursing experience in clinical care, cardiology, surgical backgrounds preferred.
• May require ACLS certification
• May require PALS (pediatric advanced life support)

Benefits

• $15,000 sign on bonus
• Night shift differential while on a DAY/NIGHT ROTATION: $7.00/hour
• Night shift component of pay while on NIGHTS ONLY: $20,000/year
• Tuition Reimbursement (up to $6,000 per year based upon Full or Part Time status)
