We currently have a full time, Nurse Practitioner (MNA) position supporting our OB-GYN department at our Quincy location. Provides well women, prenatal, intrapartum, postpartum, and all-inclusive gynecological care within the scope of his/her practice. Complements the Ob/Gyn MD in providing care to women with moderately complex issues, both acute and chronic. Serves as a patient educator. Provides rounding on patients in the hospital as determined by the needs of the practice and call group. We offer superior staffing resources and a fully integrated EMR system.

Requirements

  • Must exhibit strong critical thinking, problem solving, interpersonal and good patient interviewing skills.
  • Highly motivated and self-directed.
  • Ability to interpret clinical information, assess the implication of treatment and develop and implement a plan of care.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize, multitask, and work in a rapidly changing environment with multiple demands.
  • Up to date with current standard of nursing care in Specialty.
  • Demonstrated excellence in practice, documentation and utilization.
  • Maintain high patient satisfaction.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Nurse Practitioner (NP) - Must be nationally certified as an FNP or WHNP, graduate from an accredited master's degree NP program and possess state licensure to practice as an APRN.
  • Current license to practice professional nursing in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
  • Must possess and maintain, or be eligible for, Mass DPH Controlled Substance registration and DEA registration.
  • Physician Assistant (PA) - Must have national certification and Commonwealth of Massachusetts licensure as a Physician Assistant.
  • NP/PA – Must possess and maintain, or be eligible for, Mass DPH Controlled Substance registration and DEA registration.

Nice To Haves

  • A minimum of 2 years of ambulatory OBYGN experience
  • Previous experience as a nurse practitioner in primary care
  • Experience with an electronic medical records system, EPIC experienced preferred
