About The Position

As a Nurse Practitioner (NP) and/or Physician Assistant (PA) at Thrive Wellness, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality, client-centered care and ensuring a positive medical experience at our Primary Care location, 201 W. Liberty St. Reno, NV 89501. This position is hourly, non-exempt, full-time, with a 32-hour per week schedule. The NP and/or PA will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to assess, diagnose, treat, and manage client health needs in accordance with scope of practice and applicable state regulations.

Requirements

  • Completion of Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing (NP) or Physician Assistant Studies (PA) from an accredited program required
  • Active, current, and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner and/or Physician Assistant license in the state of Nevada required
  • Active DEA license in the state of Nevada required
  • State controlled substance certificate required
  • Current CPR/BLS certification required
  • Must pass a federal background check at hire and every three years.
  • Must adhere to the drug-free workplace act.
  • Demonstrate maturity of judgment, attitude, and life skills.
  • Ability to adapt to change and remain flexible.
  • Strong team player that works well in a busy environment.
  • Strong communication skills, upbeat, positive, and professional when interacting with clients, providers, and fellow co-workers.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, as well as the ability to prioritize and manage time effectively, both unsupervised and independently.
  • Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems
  • Passion for providing patient-centered care in a multidisciplinary setting

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of one (1) year post-graduate licensure preferred
  • Previous experience in family practice preferred
  • Able to treat entire lifespan preferred (birth+)
  • FNP-BC or FNP-C certification preferred

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, treat, and manage patients of various ages, genders, and backgrounds in a family practice environment, including mental health concerns
  • Document patient and other encounters accurately, timely, and in accordance with organizational and regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary providers such as psychiatrists, nutritionists, occupational therapists, and psychotherapists
  • Participate in regular organizational, departmental, and supervisory meeting
  • Adhere to ethical and legal standards regarding the practice of medicine, patient confidentiality, and patient safety
