Nurse Practitioner (Addiction Medicine) – Agawam, MA (Part-Time) Join Pyramid Healthcare as a Nurse Practitioner (or Physician Assistant) supporting adult Substance Use Disorder treatment at our new Springfield/Agawam facility. In this role, you will deliver client-centered medical care across residential and detox levels of care, collaborating closely with nursing, psychiatry, and primary care teams to help clients reclaim their health and independence. Requirements

  • Active Massachusetts license as a Nurse Practitioner (NP/CRNP) or Physician Assistant (PA)
  • National certification in good standing
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Addiction Medicine, Behavioral Health, or related setting with SUD exposure
  • Experience working in interdisciplinary teams and comfort in residential and/or detox settings

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with MAT and withdrawal management protocols
  • Familiarity with medication prior authorizations and cost-containment strategies
  • Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR)
  • Involvement in quality improvement or patient safety initiatives

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive history and physicals (H&Ps) and ongoing medical evaluations; review labs and monitor therapeutic levels
  • Manage acute medical issues and sick calls; develop safe and compliant discharge and transition plans
  • Provide medical support for adult residential and detox programs; coordinate care with psychiatry and primary care providers
  • Optimize post-discharge medications; assist with prior authorizations and cost-effective treatment options
  • Complete accurate and timely documentation in the EHR while maintaining quality, safety, and regulatory standards
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to program development and improvements
  • If applicable: Evaluate and manage Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT), including buprenorphine, in accordance with credentialing and state regulations
