Requirements

  • Master’s or Doctorate degree in Nursing from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
  • BLS/ACLS certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Current and unrestricted NP license in the state of Illinois.
  • DEA registration and prescriptive authority.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a diverse patient population.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum 1–2 years of primary care experience preferred; new graduates with rural/underserved experience considered.
  • Strong clinical skills, cultural competence, and a commitment to rural health.
  • National Board Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C or FNP-BC) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive primary care, including physical exams, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care for acute and chronic illnesses.
  • Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests (lab work, imaging, etc.) as appropriate.
  • Prescribe medications and therapeutic treatments in accordance with state and federal regulations.
  • Educate patients and families on wellness, prevention, and disease management strategies.
  • Maintain accurate and timely electronic health records (EHR).
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, behavioral health providers, and support staff as part of a multidisciplinary care team.
  • Perform minor procedures as applicable.
  • Participate in community outreach, health education, and wellness initiatives.
  • Address social determinants of health and refer patients to appropriate community resources.
  • Ensure compliance with Rural Health Clinic regulations and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
