The Nurse Practice Professional (NPP) performs an advanced role in the delivery of nursing care to meet the needs of the patients to maintain health and recover from illness. The NPP functions autonomously and in collaboration with the health care team and patient/family to provide advanced clinical practice, education, consultation, research, and leadership. This is a part time (0.8FTE, 64 hours per pay period) benefit earning position that will work with nursing practice issues in the Pediatric specialties. Examples include pressure injury prevention, falls, delirium, medication safety, and more. The NPP follows the ANA Standards of Nursing Practice for Registered Nurses and Advanced Practice Registered Nurses. In addition to these functions and depending on the administrative and clinical needs of the organization, the NPP functions as clinician, educator, consultant, researcher and leader.
