Requirements
- One (1) full year experience as a PACU nurse in an acute care facility providing care to the Adult and Pediatric population.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Registered Nurse: NV
- Basic Life Support - CPR
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support
- Trauma Nurse Core Course
Nice To Haves
- Two (2) years PACU experience.
- Bachelors Of Nursing
- Critical RN Adult/Neonatal/Pediatric/Acute
Responsibilities
- Completes initial patient assessment and reassessments as indicated by patient condition.
- Demonstrates critical thinking by implementing the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation).
- Manages medication administration and intravenous (IV) access according to physician's orders.
- Documents nursing care and patient status in accordance with the nursing process.
- Has communication abilities sufficient to promote patient and family centered care by interacting with patients, families, and care-delivery team in verbal and written form.
