About The Position
CHI St. Anthony Hospital is a 25-bed, faith-based, acute care, level four trauma, critical access hospital serving the Pendleton, Oregon area for over 100 years. We are dedicated to providing the highest quality of patient care and safety, and to improving community wellness through education. The 103,000 square foot hospital is equipped with 4 operating rooms, 11 emergency rooms, 30 private patient rooms, and advanced medical technology. This role involves bringing passion and surgical excellence to patient care, providing leadership and coordination as a safe clinical practitioner with independent yet collaborative judgment to ensure high-quality, cost-effective services.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited Nursing program.
- At least one (1) year of acute care or clinic RN experience.
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Oregon.
- AHA BLS Certification.
- AHA ACLS Certification within six (6) months of hire.
Nice To Haves
- Surgical RN experience.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a safe surgical environment, including sterile technique.
- Assist anesthesia/surgeon; prepare OR (equipment setup); prepare lab specimens; ensure instruments/supplies are ready.
- Be able to circulate and/or scrub a case.
- Provide Conscious Sedation to Endoscopy patients.
- Continuously assess/re-prioritize patient health status; initiate/maintain individual plan of care.
- Prioritize/perform interventions for trauma patients; respond to emergencies using critical thinking.
- Prioritize and perform patient interventions necessary for triaging patients.
- Participate in patient/family education.
