Nurse Manager Ambulatory Behavioral Health
About The Position
Inova Behavioral Health Services is looking for a dedicated Nurse Manager to join the team at our Merrifield location. This role will be full-time day shift from Monday – Friday. This role will be required to travel to ambulatory care sites 2-3 times weekly. Inova is consistently ranked a national healthcare leader in safety, quality and patient experience. The Nurse Manager oversees assigned unit to ensure it is performing effectively, which may include but not limited to, hiring and training team members, creating and implementing business strategies, managing performance of team members, and delegating tasks. Manages a nursing unit with 24-hour responsibility through demonstrated leadership and supporting behavioral competencies. Utilizes the Joint Commission standards and nursing practice tools/research to support a care delivery system that produces quality care with optimal outcomes. Serves as a primary liaison and information resource for unit of responsibility while overseeing the provision of therapeutic care in a holistic and evidence-based environment, which produces excellent patient care with optimal patient outcomes. Provides direction and guidance to others regarding practice while serving as a resource and a mentor to team members and showing respect for and an appreciation for the contributions of all team members. Consistently supports Inova Health System's mission and strategic plans.
Requirements
- Certification - Basic Life Support
- Licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Registered Nurse.
- 2 years of nursing experience related to the unit's scope.
- Bachelors Degree in Nursing
Nice To Haves
- 2-3 years previous Behavioral Health experience strongly preferred
- Previous nursing supervisory experience preferred
