About The Position

The Nurse Manager is responsible for organizing and supervising the staff in their department, programs, budgets, schedules, payroll and equipment. They are to provide leadership through communication and relationship-building, a strong knowledge of the health care environment and business skills. The Nurse Manager functions as an extension of the Director of their department by implementing policies, procedures, and standards of the hospital within the unit managed. The 2D Neuro unit specializes in providing exceptional, high-quality care to adult patients. Our team delivers personalized, patient-centered care in a collaborative and supportive environment. We work closely as an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, supported by dedicated providers and ancillary staff, to ensure outstanding outcomes for both patients and caregivers. Common neuroscience diagnoses include ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes, transient ischemic attacks (TIAs), seizures and epilepsy, degenerative neurological disorders, autoimmune conditions, and other central nervous system disorders. As a certified Primary Stroke Center, we are recognized for delivering state-of-the-art stroke care and excellence in neuroscience nursing.

Requirements

Graduate of accredited BSN or MSN program.
Three (3) years nursing experience required.
One (1) year charge nurse or supervisory experience required.
BLS for Healthcare Provider required.

Nice To Haves

Master's degree preferred; If no current Master's degree and not pursuing, must obtain national certification in leadership within 2 years.
National specialty certification and/or National certification in Nursing Leadership preferred.
