About The Position

We are seeking an experienced, compassionate, and influential nursing leader to serve as Nurse Manager of the Float Pool & Per Diem Pool. This highly visible leadership role is responsible for the clinical, operational, and financial oversight of a dynamic team that supports patient care across multiple specialties and locations. The Nurse Manager plays a critical role in ensuring safe staffing, fostering caregiver engagement and professional development, advancing quality outcomes, and promoting a culture grounded in ChristianaCare's core values of Love and Excellence. The ideal candidate is a collaborative leader who inspires confidence, drives accountability, and is committed to creating an exceptional experience for patients, families, and caregivers alike.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Completed Master's degree in nursing or alternatively, completed BSN with a Master's degree in healthcare or business management field.
  • Professional certification in a related nursing specialty required; Nurse Executive certification preferred
  • Five years of appropriate clinical and leadership experience
  • Current RN licensure accepted in the State of DE
  • BCLS certification

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and operational oversight for the Float Pool and Per Diem Pool.
  • Ensure safe staffing, scheduling, and effective resource allocation.
  • Foster a culture of quality, safety, service excellence, and professional nursing practice.
  • Recruit, develop, coach, and evaluate nursing staff.
  • Support quality improvement, patient experience, and caregiver engagement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nursing leaders, and interdisciplinary teams to achieve organizational goals.
  • Manage department resources and contribute to budget planning and stewardship.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and organizational standards.
