About The Position

Riverside Community Care is seeking a Nurse Manager for its Behavioral Health Services Division. In this role, the Nurse Manager will oversee the provision of health services to individuals served by the program, manage a team of LPNs and nursing staff, and provide both clinical and administrative supervision. The position involves a split of managerial oversight and direct patient care, focusing on medical and nursing issues within the program. Responsibilities include taking vital signs, filling physician orders, overseeing the medication administration system, coordinating medical care, and contributing to comprehensive assessments, including substance withdrawal assessments using tools like COWS, CIWA, and CIWA B.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Intermediate computer fluency, including Microsoft Office
  • Valid Driver’s License and regular access to a reliable vehicle
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Licensure as a Registered Nurse required. Must be in good standing with the Board of Registration of Nursing.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ nursing experience
  • Minimum of 1 years working in a behavioral health setting
  • Experience with addictions and Medication Assisted Treatment

Nice To Haves

  • BSN preferred
  • At least one year of supervisory/managerial experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the provision of health services to the people served by the program.
  • Manage a team of LPN and nursing staff at the programs, providing clinical and administrative supervision.
  • Work half time providing managerial oversight and half time providing direct care.
  • Take the lead on medical and nursing issues within the program.
  • Take vital signs & fill physician orders.
  • Oversee the medication administration system.
  • Coordinate medical care.
  • Contribute to comprehensive assessments including substance withdrawal use assessment tools such as Clinical Opioid Withdrawal Scale (COWS), Clinical Institute Withdrawal Assessment for Alcohol (CIWA), and Clinical Institute Withdrawal Assessment for Benzodiazepines (CIWA B).
