The MLK Recuperative Care Center (RCC) Housing Nurse Manager will participate as part of the management team at MLK RCC. The Nurse Manager will be responsible for clinical oversight of the recuperative care clinic and nursing functions. He or she will oversee Registered Nurses, Licensed Vocational Nurses. The Nurse Manager position is responsible for conducting functional and technical training in alignment with agency and funding source policies and procedures. The Nurse Manager will receive guidance from the Program Director and clinical guidance and updates Corporate Nurse Manager (CNM) (or the designee by Deputy Chief of Operations). JWCH Institute is a Federally Qualified Health Center and the largest non-government provider of homeless health and supportive services in Los Angeles County. The MLK RCC is funded by the Department of Health Services (DHS) in the Housing for Health program and offers a 96-bed program with a 33-bed COVID unit. MLK RCC provides intensive case management, behavioral healthcare, satellite medical clinic services, and supportive services to the chronically homeless, those with behavioral health diagnoses, and those with chronic medical conditions.
