About The Position

This position is eligible for a sign on bonus paid out 1/4 at 6 months, 1/4 at 12 months, 1/4 at 18 months, and 1/4 at 24 months of employment. Full time/80 hours per pay. Dayshift. Assists Director in supervising and directing nursing care and all related activities of the service. Assures maintenance of the environment of care and all applicable standards/policies (e.g. established AMC policies, procedures and standards of care, OSHA, ODH, JCAHO, Ohio Department of Behavioral Health (ODBH) and other accrediting bodies). Utilizes principles of the nursing process in providing care for patients. Build and develops the patient care team using staff personnel, assistance to physicians, material and equipment, education of personnel and administrative duties. Serves as chief retention and recruitment leader of the unit. Accountable to the organization to understand and support the hospital’s mission, visions and values.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing
  • Valid Nursing License in the State of Ohio
  • Current CPR at time of hire.
  • AVADE certification required within 1st 90 days in position.
  • 3 - 5 years of job related experience
  • Continuing education in leadership as evidenced by attending leadership management topics.
  • Excellent clinical, time management, communication (written and verbal) and organizational skills required.
  • Proven skill in leadership, care management, and performance improvement required.
  • Computer skills (programming and keyboarding) required.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification in area of specialty/expertise preferred.
  • Minimum of four years hospital experience in pertinent clinical specialty (inpatient or outpatient behavioral health only) and 2-3 years in leadership/management/charge role preferred.
