About The Position

St. Elizabeth Healthcare is hiring a Nurse Manager for our TCU 4SE Unit located within the Florence Hospital. This role involves 24/7 responsibility for leadership and management functions of an operational business unit. The Nurse Manager demonstrates the ability to manage a diverse work team to accomplish the strategic plan of the organization and is responsible for the delivery of evidence-based quality patient care and managing the daily operations of a business unit, including staffing, budget, supplies, equipment, and physician relations. This role is also responsible for hiring, evaluating, and maintaining competent staff to serve patient needs in a busy, fast-paced environment. Direct patient care may be required. The position emphasizes demonstrating respect, dignity, kindness, and empathy in interactions with all patients, families, visitors, and other associates.

Requirements

  • BSN
  • Graduate of accredited School of Nursing
  • If eligible, must have a Compact (multi-state) License in their primary state of residence.
  • Licensed to practice nursing in the state where work is being performed.
  • Meets contact hours requirements for Licensure, including all state-required courses.
  • Ability to direct self and others and interpret nursing Policies and Procedures and standards.
  • Knowledge of Management theory.
  • Demonstrates application of Leadership concepts.
  • Clinical expertise relevant.
  • 3 years nursing experience; experience relevant to the specific clinical area including: experience as Assistant Nurse Manager or equivalent position and experience with staffing/scheduling and managing a unit/department budget.

Nice To Haves

  • Masters in nursing or health care related field.
  • Certification in their specialty and/or nurse executive
  • Ability to interface designated clinical area with the institution’s mission, goals and objectives as it relates to organizational structure and process.
  • Previous experience as Nurse Manager.
  • Budget experience and ability to function as a change agent.
