About The Position

Edward M. Kennedy Community Health Center is seeking a Nurse Manager based in Framingham, MA. This role involves supporting team-based and evidence-based care, managing the day-to-day operations of nursing and medical assistant staff, and leading projects to improve operational efficiency. The Nurse Manager collaborates with the Training and Development Team to ensure clinical competencies, foster high-quality patient care, and facilitate positive patient outcomes. The role is split evenly between managing daily operations and working on practice- and organization-based initiatives. Requirements

  • Massachusetts Nursing License
  • At least 2 Years of Nursing Experience
  • CPR certification

Responsibilities

  • Directly supervises nurses and medical assistants, including hiring, coaching, scheduling, and performance management
  • Coordinates staff schedules, coverage, vacation requests, and daily assignments
  • Leads operational improvement projects for nursing and medical assistant workflows
  • Supports staff training, orientation, competency assessments, and ongoing education in collaboration with the Training & Development Team
  • Oversees clinical operations including medication management, referrals, nursing visits, patient flow, and provider support
  • Manages vaccine inventory, clinical supply ordering, and stock maintenance
  • Ensures compliance with quality, regulatory, and organizational standards
  • Participates in quality improvement initiatives and uses operational data to improve performance
  • Assists with onboarding and mentoring new clinical staff
